Welcome to the Institute Registered Insurance Broker Website.
Institute Registered Insurance Brokers (IRIBs) are leading professionals within the general insurance market. As sole traders or partners within a business or as directors or employees of companies their role is to establish and maintain risk management and insurance programmes for a wide range of clients. They must have relevant credentials and experience in the insurance industry in order to be admitted for membership as an IRIB.
IRIBs undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to keep up with changes in the industry, to extend their technical knowledge and skills and to maintain their professionalism throughout their careers. The purpose of this website is to help members with undertaking and recording CPD activities, as well as to provide a means for them to air their views on regulation and other topics affecting their business life .

For employers requiring access to company-level Training and Competence support, the IIB website includes a comprehensive on-line testing facility. This allows employers to give individual staff members access to tests covering a wide range of topics and then to have the scores and a detailed analysis of performance recorded at employee level and e-mailed directly to the employer, so that shortfalls in knowledge can be easily identified.
